‘Supporting my partner through birth’ is the partner version of ‘hypnobirthing’ but without the hypnobirthing!

As a woman who has birthed 6 babies, plus supported so many other women through birth as a Doula, I feel that the partner’s role in the birth space is absolutely crucial.

Your partner has been doing lots of inside work to be sure to trust her body’s innate ability to birth, and having you on the same page is very necessary.

This particular script contains the word ‘partner’, so is suitable for a man who is supporting his wife or girlfriend, a woman who is supporting her wife or girlfriend, a friend or family member who is supporting a loved one through her birth.

Note: As a two-time surrogate, I’ll be doing a separate recording for Intended Mothers and Fathers. The idea will be the same, enabling you to feel confident in supporting the birthing woman, but obviously, the emphasis will be on you finally meeting your baby at the end.

Birth is an instinctive process, and there is a lot you can do to support your partner through this.
